Spicy Meal with Beans

INGREDIENTS:

500 g of beans

2 cups of soy scraps

1 kg of mashed tomatoes

1 green pepper, chopped

2 tablespoons of powdered chilli

1 bay leaf

salt, pepper

boiled brown rice

salsa

 

 

PREPARATION:

Soak the beans overnight. Strain the beans, add bay leaf, fresh water and cook covered for an hour. Strain again.
Place soy scraps in a bowl with water (just so they're covered) and let them soak for 20 min. Strain and mix with the beans. Add the rest of the ingredients except rice and salsa. Cook on low heat for 1-1.5 hour or until the beans become soft.
Serve with rice and add salsa accordingly to taste.
